A Work in Progress
Office Remodel
In 2021, Christ For Me began a remodel project. Over $30,000 was raised for the remodel. Since then, we have worked to update the Christ For Me Office. Many people have given their time — painting, tearing down, and building new structures. The stairs have been moved making the space more usable. A new reception area has been created. The kitchen area was completely remodeled and an extra door removed to make it more effective. The flooring has been replaced in most of the office and the walls have been painted in the main areas. Three mini-split air conditioner/heaters were installed in three offices that were cold in the winter and too hot in the summer due to the current unit not being effective.
Where we have been!
Help came from different churches, volunteers, and a few paid contractors. God has been so faithful in providing what is needed. BUT we are not finished yet. And in the middle of this, a small leak in a pipe near the printer room began to leak. The entire room had to be gutted. We are at a stand still for a few reasons. First, we need workers to finish what is left.
What is left!
Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms need to be painted, a new sink and toilet installed, and the flooring replaced. We would like to add a shower to the extra bathroom/storage area. When we have people come to work, it would be ideal if they could stay at the office. The recently remodeled upstairs area is a great extra room for guests.
- Both the men and women’s bathrooms need to be painted, sink and toilet replaced and the flooring installed.
- Renovate the extra bathroom into a shower room for overnight guests.
- Paint, add cabinets, and replace flooring in the print room. Due to a flood, all the cabinets were destroyed.
- Paint and refloor the back office and move the curriculum into that area so that all the lessons are close to the printer for better workflow.
- Paint and refloor the office across from the kitchen
